Kendra is the lead trainer at Boerne Canine Academy a professional dog trainer, business owner, and proud mom of three boys. My life revolves around two things I care deeply about: my family and helping dogs (and their people) live better, more connected lives.
My journey into dog training started with a natural love for animals, but it quickly became something much bigger. I’ve spent 10+ years working hands-on with dogs of all temperaments, behaviors, and backgrounds, from energetic puppies to more challenging cases that need structure, consistency, and understanding.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of dogs in many different environments. My experience includes working with drug detection dogs, bomb detection dogs, and training my own personal dogs in sport work. I’ve also spent time working with shelter and rescue dogs, as well as everyday pet dogs and their families which has given me a well-rounded, real-world understanding of behavior at every level.
What makes my approach different is that I don’t just train dogs I coach people. I believe a well-trained dog starts with clear communication, trust, and leadership at home. My goal is to give you the tools and confidence to create a calm, obedient, and happy dog in your everyday life.
Living in the Texas Hill Country, I also run a unique property where dogs can learn in a real-world environment not just a controlled setting. This allows for more effective, lasting results that actually translate to your home and lifestyle.
When I’m not training, I’m building a life for my family and working toward a bigger vision creating a space where people, dogs, and nature all come together.
